Northern Portugal – Alto Coura
Northern Portugal is the greenest part of this country that is why their coast is called: The Green Coast”, the scenery is hilly, green and incredible beautiful. The capital of northern Portugal is the unique city of Porto, which is definitely worth a visit; therefore this trail will start here.
The “ Alto Coura” trail is what its all about during this week, we will have to go to the most northern region of Portugal, the Minho. The “Alto Coura” trail will give you the opportunity to discover this beautiful region, with their rich culture, gastronomy, their rural way of living and of course the fantastic natural scenery. The locals of the Minho are known for hard working, friendly people and are very proud of “their” Minho.
Throughout the trail, you will be accompanied by well qualified guides with a lot of experience in this region, both speak Ingles. Also during the tour of Porto and during the transfer from and to the airport and to the Minho you will be accompanied by English speaking guides. The horses you will ride are fine Portuguese breeds with a gentle temperament.
